I'm Natalie, and obviously, I love to travel.
I created this blog because I don't want to annoy those around me by talking about my travel stories all the time. So, I figured I'd just tell the internet.
My whole life, my parents have been traveling, mostly for business, but I never got to go with them. The magnet or t-shirt they brought back didn't exactly fulfill my desire to travel. I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, which isn't the most diverse area. So, even though I was raised by immigrant parents, I didn't have the greatest sense of the world. The only international traveling I had done before college was going on cruises, which arguably don't even count. And yes! I know! They're absolutely horrible to the environment, and they're unethical, and you don't get to experience the culture to the fullest at the destinations. But, I didn't really have a say in our family vacations growing up. And, they're a pretty cost-efficient option for budgeting parents of a family of four. Other than that, I had only traveled domestically, primarily to the Bay Area and sometimes to the East Coast.
So, when I got to college, I made the decision early to study abroad. I attended the Technological University Dublin during my spring 2022 semester, and my eyes were opened. My peers joked that I spent more time in other countries than actually in Ireland (shout out to Ryanair). Since then, I have made it my mission to travel as much as possible before I have to get an actual adult job.
I am a current senior at Purdue University majoring in Animation and minoring in Art & Design, Political Science, and Advanced Global Technology. I don't have much more time to explore the world before job hunting, but I am doing my best and will share all of it with you all :)
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me! I can't wait to explore the world with y'all.
